NYC-based skate blog Quartersnacks, which was founded during the era of dial-up internet, is no stranger to Nike SB. In 2014 and again in 2018, the imprint linked up with the Swoosh officially, bringing out a Dunk Low and then a Blazer duo. And now, the former silhouette is to reintroduce the collaboration three years later, its uppers visibly safari-inspired.
Encased in an array of black leather overlays — toe caps, Swooshes, eye stays, etc — there lies a series of zebra prints. These poke their head out from along the mid-panel, toe, and collar, complementing the identically designed insole within. The Quartersnacks logo, then, finishes both the latter as well as the back heel, while the Nike SB branding sits atop a surprisingly unpadded tongue. What’s more, the sole and laces are also oddities as they resemble the inline version of the silhouette.
Take a closer look at these yourself right here. A release, which is currently TBD, should be announced very soon.
