Donovan Mitchell’s adidas D.O.N. Issue #3 Revealed In New Colorway For Playoffs

Donovan Mitchell’s adidas D.O.N. Issue #3 Revealed In New Colorway For Playoffs

Currently averaging 32.7 points per game in the 2020-21 NBA Playoffs, Donovan Mitchell has his sight set on a title. And while the guard still has a long, tough road ahead of him for this accolade, he’s at least embarked on it wearing his new adidas D.O.N. Issue #3.

Debuted earlier in the post-season, the sneaker ostensibly turns back the clock, resembling the Issue #1 more than the #2. The ankle trim isn’t cut as low on the newly-surfaced signature sneaker, but the majority of the model’s body is sleek like Mitchell’s original adidas silhouette. The Spider-Man themes haven’t yet landed on the new hoops-ready proposition, but its mix of synthetic overlays across the upper and the previously-unseen midsole tooling introduce different real estate for thematic colorways. Most recently, #45 donned an iteration of his Issue #3 sneaker that features a plethora of hand drawn-like graphics across a rich purple backdrop; the same details appear the the lateral midsole’s plastic component. Lastly, a semi-translucent outsole allows for a new tread system to showcase not only its functionality, but also aesthetic.

Enjoy a look at Mitchell’s latest Issue #3 here below, and anticipate the shoe to debut via adidas.com before August ends.

Elsewhere under the Three Stripes umbrella, 17 YEEZY restocks are occurring between now and November.
