Through its use of both Regrind rubber and Crater foam innovations, the Nike Waffle Racer Crater is one of the Swoosh’s most exciting silhouettes. Just as exciting is an upcoming colorway that sees Oregon Ducks’ signature green and yellow.
The heritage-style runner’s plush uppers and tongue are tinted in a summer-ready yellow, complemented by suede overlays wrapped around the toe and heel in a much more neutral grey. The leather side Swooshes and heel tab, as well as the label-like detail on the front, are in a vibrant green to complete the Oregon theme. Down the tongue and around the Swooshes, zigzag stitches are used to deliver a deconstructed aesthetic. The rugged look continues onto the sole unit, in which a light blue Crater foam midsole is enveloped by a Regrind rubber outsole to complete the sustainability-focused design.
