Nike’s commemorative “First Use” pack has been steadily growing, with models such as the Air Max 90 and the Air Force 1 receiving multiple appearances within the collection. A third Blazer Mid ’77 is also joining the pack, opting for a reverse approach of an already-revealed colorway.
While the last Blazer among the “First Use” pack was unveiled to be an orange-on-blue arrangement, this upcoming style uses blue accents on an orange base. Orange suede colors the entirety of the uppers, including the lacestays and overlays on the toe and lateral side—although these suede elements demonstrate a rather of a flocked, textured finish in comparison to the uppers. A white, embroidered Swoosh outline is found on the lateral side, with text reading “First use June 18, 1971” printed below. The medial side instead sees a simple white leather Swoosh. Deviating from the rest of the model, the suede tab is in Deep Royal Blue with Nike’s vintage-inspired script logo embroidered on top. The design is complete with a white rubber sole unit and the same gold Swoosh lace dubrae seen on other styles within the “First Use” pack.
