The Air Jordan 1 Mid has historically been the most experimental trim of Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker. And if there was any doubt, its latest canvas-built, paint splatter-covered ensemble dismisses it.
Akin to a previously-surfaced Air Jordan 1 Low, the forthcoming pair maintains an understated base that allows for the seemingly-haphazard paint detailing across the upper to revel in the spotlight. “Cider” overlays atop an all-white body are laden with yellow, red and blue splatter, while lateral swooshes forgo any leather or suede construction in favor of streak-stylized aesthetic; medial counterparts further indulge in the retro’s canvas material. Underfoot, “Sail” midsoles are densely covered with the aforementioned splatter, although their accompanying tread abandons any multi-color arrangement in favor of a “Black” makeup.
A Nike.com release date hasn’t been disclosed, but it’s likely this mid-top Jordan 1 arrives before summer ends. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the shoes here below.
