First Avenue Honors Prince With Upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low Collaboration

First Avenue Honors Prince With Upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low Collaboration

Following the reveal of their Magnus Walker collaboration, Nike SB is further adding to this year’s surprises as they team up with the legendary First Avenue in Minneapolis. The partnership, which transforms the beloved Dunk Low, looks to celebrate the life, career, and mystique of music icon Prince.

What ensues is rather subtle, however, far and away from the look of Prince himself. But, with its brick-inspired embossing and plentiful star motifs, the pair aptly mirrors the location’s existing homage to Prince. Dyed black like that of the walls themselves, the leathers throughout the construction exude an energy similar to First Avenue, while the laces overtly honor the ever-iconic “Purple Rain.” What’s more, the Swoosh/heel tab shine in reflective finish, stars dress both the toe box as well as the rear, and the ticket to the artist’s performance April 3rd performance can be found printed onto the insole.

For a quick look, check the leaked images added below. A release will possibly hit Nike SNKRS and select retailers before the end of the year.

In other news, another Casablanca New Balance 237 is on the way.
