For New Balance, “Grey Day” is not just an annual holiday. It’s a lifestyle. At the heart of their entire brand, the shade will forever be synonymous with the Boston institution. And soon, it’ll dress even more uncommon silhouettes like this upcoming 1700.

Rare relative to the 327, 991, 992, etc., the 1700 is due to arrive tomorrow in Japan, boasting a premium construction all throughout. The signature pigskin suedes dress the toe, profile, and counter, matching the perforated panels and mesh toe adjacent. Subtle but contrasted bits of lighter leathers, then, accent atop, complementing the aforementioned in tandem with the laces, midsole, and the classic suite of embroidered branding.
