Only a few weeks ago, Nike added UV-reactive paneling to the Air Force 1, a tweak once prevalent across the custom sneaker circuits. And in likely response to the aforementioned pair’s positive reception, color changing finishes will soon dress the Air Jordan 1 Mid.
Though the silhouette itself is still quite divisive, this colorway will likely put the model further into the public’s favor, as it boasts a pleasantly simple and roughly traditional color blocking. Both the toe and Swoosh brandish black leathers, contrasting a base made white as is typical. The laces, instep, and collar follow the latter’s example, while the ankle flap, counter, and tongue label proffer the focal heat-sensitive finishes. All of which bear an iridescent look, its hues mimicking the vivid shades and movement of a heat map.
For a closer look, see the leaked images below. A release date is currently unknown, but it’s likely we’ll see them at Nike.com before the end of the year.
In other news, the Jordan 1 KO Storm Blue is coming this Fall.
