New Balance Doubles Down On Their 1500/991 Hybrid With A Matching 991.5

New Balance Doubles Down On Their 1500/991 Hybrid With A Matching 991.5

Earlier this morning, we touched on New Balance’s latest hybrid: a blend of their beloved 1500 and 991. Turns out the brand is not quite done yet as they’re complementing the release with a matching 991.5.

Like the pair before it, the upper blends together a number of loud, vivid colors. And thanks to the more varied 991 form, additional hues are joining the fray. Grey suedes hit the side profile, matching the mesh base, tongue, and the supportive forefoot overlays. Adjacent, brighter touches of red and green contrast quite heavily, though they’re still far more subtle next to the aqua blue toe cap, the navy eye stays, and the blacked out counter. Below, the 1500 comes into play, wholly subdued in its typical palette of neutrals.

For a close-up look at the release, check the official images below. A release is slated to hit NewBalance.com on May 15th at 10am ET.

In other news, the Question Low Grey Toe is coming in hot at the end of the month.
