The Sony PlayStation x Nike PG 5 Will Launch On June 17th

Back in March, it was revealed that Paul George would be reprising his collaborative relationship with Sony’s PlayStation, offering not one but two PG 5 shaped homages to the PS5. And soon, later this month to be exact, the two will offer the first of the set.

A diehard fan of the brand, Paul George takes every opportunity to celebrate the Japanese giant’s latest magnum opus. Even Sony’s own designers — including the renowned Yujin Morisawa — had a hand in the PG 5’s design, all closely working together to bring the look of the PS5 to the shoes. And this is achieved quite easily by way of the color scheme, as the uppers mirror the white, black, and blue look of the console itself. What’s more, the system’s iconic logo hits can be found emblazoned on the tongue, complementing the what’s found on the hang tag adjacent. The heel tab, then, deviates slightly as it filters the PG5 name through signature PlayStation style.

The PG 5 “PlayStation 5” is due to release via Nike SNKRS on May 27th in the US. Select regions, according to the Sony blog, will receive an earlier release starting May 14th.

In other news, the LeBron 8 Low Miami Nights is releasing next week.
