Sneaker News Nike’s big launch of the recent Air Max Day 2021 festivities was the Air Max Pre-Day lifestyle shoe, an impressive blend of modern and archival design with a reductive approach. The resulting model has been generally well received thus far, praised for that throwback runner look while boasting a unique cored-out Air Max unit at the heel. Certainly created for the newer generation of sneaker fanatics, the Pre-Day hits on current footwear trends while hiding a bit of history into the shoe – a formula Nike has been seamlessly computing for years.
The third such colorway of the Air Max Pre-Day has finally surfaced in black and a mix of greys. Keeping the color-blocking rather simple, Nike hits the varying overlays with anthracite, smoke grey, and iron grey to contrast with an all-black base. While not the best option for those who prefer that punch of neon character, this Air Max Pre-Day still has appeal for those who are down with the old-meets-new look.
