While mixing silver and gold is usually seen as a sin in the fashion bible, Nike dares to break the rules and does so stylishly. An upcoming women’s Air Max 270 uses both metallics subtly for a sleek, wearable new style.
The pair’s breathable mesh uppers, tongue, heel, and midsole are all in White, creating a clean, versatile base. On the toe, a mini metal-plated Swoosh is shining in Metallic Silver but the larger Swooshes on the sides see Metallic Gold. Silver foil-like overlays are also found on the sides, above the midsole. Elsewhere, the two metallics take turns spelling out Air Max 270 logos on the tongue and heel. The design is complete with its signature, 270-degree visibility Air unit opting for a translucent, “colorless” look reminiscent of icy soles found on a handful of Nike propositions.
Take a closer look at the Air Max 270 below as you wait for the pair to arrive at select retailers such as 43einhalb on April 29th. As for a wider release, details are yet to come but expect to see the pair at the listed U.S. retailers in the coming weeks, with a price tag of $150.
In other women’s sneaker news, official images of the Nike Dunk Low “Purple Pulse” have emerged.
