Vans Joins The 420 Madness With A Set Of OG Authentic LX “Sweet Leaf” Drops

Weed is no longer as vilified as it was years ago. And, as a result, we’ve seen the culture bleed its way into not only apparel but also sneakers, Nike SB being one of the pastime’s earliest proponents. This year, 4/20 is receiving its most support yet as Vans joins the celebration with the OG Authentic LX “Sweet Leaf.”

An homage to Mary Jane herself, the commemorative offering arrives in two different colorways. While one prefers neutrals, shrouding most of what makes it unique, the other is far more life-like. The marijuana leaves are rendered in full green color, embellishing atop a smoky canvas complete with matching midsoles and lace units. Alternatively, the secondary option swaps the aforementioned base for black and turns what was formerly green a bright white.

For a closer look at both pairs, see the images below. Currently, they’re available at select retailers and up for a 4/20 date at others.

In other news, the South Park adidas Campus Towelie is releasing for 4/20 as well.
