At one point, Nike’s leather-made and relatively bulky running shoes (in comparison to the super-reductive mega-lightweight offerings of modern day) were meant for performance running. While the 95 can be beat on the race-track, nothing can compete with its pole position in the world of lifestyle footwear, which is why this latest Air Max 95 is reminder that the mid-90s runner will never really beat.
This newest colorway opts for simple color approach, utilizing a black and deep royal blue hue with hits of grey on the upper stripe and matching reflective panels on the heel and upper. Adding to that speedy aesthetic is a checkered flag pattern that takes over the second lower track, adding some visual horsepower to an already aggressive colorway.
