Jasmine Tang While stepping on LEGO blocks sounds of nothing but pain, adidas’s collaboration with the toy production company encourages you to step into style, pain-free. A fusion of footwear and fun, the LEGO-plated adidas Ultra Boost DNA is finally dropping tomorrow.
The Boost-cushioned model indulges in white Primeknit uppers, with the toe box covered in overlays that resemble the studs found on LEGO blocks. Metallic silver applied to the toeguard, heel counter, and side stripes further give the pair an industrial, engineering-inspired aesthetic. The translucent lace cage atop the aforementioned stripes allows wearers to quite literally build their own looks. Wearers can mix and match the 144 2×2 LEGO plates for endless, customized styles. A fittingly playful, yellow sockliner and block-patterned insole complete the crafty collaboration.
