Curious as to why the Nike LeBron 8 “HWC” PE, one of the most prized Player Editions ever created for LeBron James, wasn’t include in the Nike SNKRS LeBron Vote Back event back in February? That’s because the Swoosh had every intention of releasing the shoes to the public. Today, official images of the blue/orange colorway of the LeBron 8 has surfaced, revealing the attractive blue suede upper, blazing orange accents and clean white midsoles, with a release TBD in the coming months (possibly one of the LeBron Watch releases that drop on the 23rd of every month).
HWC stands for “Hardwood Classic”, coinciding with the special occasions marked by the NBA during which teams would wear their throwback uniforms. Some sneakerheads read way too far in between the lines, believing that deep insiders at Nike knew that LeBron would sign with the New York Knicks during the infamous 2010 offseason, but we assure you – these were meant to match Cleveland’s own orange/blue uniforms.
Take a look at the official images ahead; these are currently slated to release on April 14th, 2021 for $200.
Updated April 13th, 2021: A release date has been postponed to for April 28th, 2021.
