The New Balance 991 has been celebrating its 20th anniversary throughout 2021. Although more collaborations are surely on the way, the model has favored solo efforts for its most recent ensembles, which will soon include a navy and tan option.
As was the case when the model debuted in 2001, the forthcoming pair boasts a premium pig suede and leather construction. Most of the sneaker’s top-half, including the breathable mesh base, opts into a near-black tone, while accents across the toe box, on the tongue and underneath the collar deliver stark brown contrast. Profile “N” logos also deviate from the upper’s predominantly navy arrangement, but in a softer color duo. Detailing on the spine maintain the New Balance sneaker’s standard reflective finish, which sit right above brown-colored tooling on the partially-“aged” midsole.
A stateside release date may be in the works, but the Made In England proposition is currently heading to retailers in Asia on April 2nd. In any case, enjoy images of the shoes here below.
