The Nike Air Max 96 II Pursues Higher Learning With Collegiate-Inspired Colors

The Nike Air Max 96 II Pursues Higher Learning With Collegiate-Inspired Colors

The Nike Air Max 96 II, which was newly brought back, is making yet another appearance later this Spring. The colorway, which bears the textures of denim twill throughout, seems to nod to college application season with collegiate-inspired colors.

Near all of the upper exudes an Ivy League sense, with crimson, navy, and gold dressing the side Swoosh in that exact order. Further use of the former two are found throughout the base as well, detailing the white underlayer with thick, embroidery-accented strips and retro-stylized tongue branding. Elsewhere, the overlays brandish a dark indigo shade, giving the denim fabric a look almost raw and susceptible to fading. What’s more, the tongue also makes use of some ostensibly exclusive insignia, one that doubles down on the inspiration.

For a closer look, see the official images below. A release is sure to hit Nike.com and select retailers very soon.

In other news, the Air Max 90 Bacon is releasing tomorrow.
