As Kid Cudi works behind-the-scenes to bring his “A Kid Named Cudi” mixtape to streaming services, the Ohio-native has (unofficially) revealed one of his next projects: another adidas Vadawam 326.
Named after his daughter, the silhouette blends basketball heritage with Scott Ramon Mescudi’s future-thinking outlook. Inaugural iterations of the model predominantly favored white or black color palettes, but the latest pair features a mix of fall-appropriate hues across the premium suede and leather upper. Black and a cigar brown set the stage for a burnt orange tone at the profiles and on the tongue, as well as for a rich navy that appears on the lower heel and towards the collar. Lockdown straps running the length of the tongue work in-tandem with the inner cushioning to deliver a comfortable, good-fitting experience to wearers. Underfoot, the “326”-branded shoe nods to the Artillery Hi with its partially-aged midsole. Tread, however, indulges in a semi-translucent, potentially glow-in-the-dark-enabling green that nods to the “Man on the Moon’s” affinity for outerspace and the future.
