Foot Locker has fostered relationships with near every name in the sneaker industry. And with the help of their size and scale, the global retailer has created a number of considered activations and accompanying collaborative capsules. The latter part of their business has not been lost with the advent of COVID-19, thankfully, as new initiatives have sprung up throughout the past year.
The team’s latest project — dubbed the “NB Collective” — borrows New Balance‘s momentum, their beloved 327 silhouette taking the helm in two new, exclusive colorways. Though both play off the aforementioned flagship’s oversized “N,” the pairs arrive far distinct from one another. A men’s colorway acts as a sort of anchor, using black and white shades similar to previous inline iterations. The darker of the two neutrals dresses the majority of the lateral, while its tonal opposite contrasts at the medial as well as the leather logos. In departure, the women’s alternate leans towards brighter, more vivid pastels. Pink outfits throughout the base, framed by purple eye stays and bright yellow toes; behind, black grounds the construction, matching the tread as well as the striped decals found atop the lettered branding.
For a look at both options, see the images below. A release is going out to Footlocker.com starting today, March 4th; both men’s and women’s pairs retail for $90 USD.
In other news, the Black and White New Balance 1500 is back.
