Although adidas has been pumping a notable amount of energy into its Forum Mid silhouette, the brand hasn’t lost focus of its 3D-printed-cushioned propositions. For its latest AlphaEdge 4D, the German sportswear behemoth has tapped Stella McCartney for a shoe blending fashion and function perfectly.
Unlike most iterations of footwear featuring the revolutionary tooling, the latest from McCartney’s long-standing partnership indulges in a crocheted TPU upper instead of Primeknit construction. “Off-White” and “Black” hues cover the low-top sneaker’s top-half in semi-gradient fashion, with heels boasting the former tone almost exclusively. Synthetic reinforcement around the tongue and collar and along the base of the upper further partake in “Off-White” flair, but spines and adidas 4D cushioning underfoot bring stark contrast into the mix.
A stateside adidas.com launch may be in the works, but this AlphaEdge 4D is currently available at outposts overseas.
Elsewhere under the Three Stripes‘ umbrella, a handful of 2021 Yeezy release dates have been confirmed recently.
