Nike’s nods to Exeter continue with the Air Max 90. Following the official unveil of the Vapormax Flyknit 3, the aforementioned runner is joining the mix with branded hang tags, a loud, mismatched colorway, and some recycled Grind rubber.
Aside from the “Exeter Edition” text that hangs off the laces, the offering is not exactly telling of its inspiration. The left foot and right contrast in their use of black and white shades, both dressing the majority of their respective sides. Volt, then, details adjacent, primarily atop the contrast stitch, the lining, and many of the sole’s molded fixtures. Elsewhere, sustainability takes a more aggressive focus, appearing by way of Grind rubbers. These, which embed with scraps of red, white, blue, yellow, and the like, are scattered about the eye stay, the heel tab, and just select parts of the tread.
