With the official return of the Nike Air Structure Triax ’91 this year, OG colorways—specifically “Persian Violet” and “Infrared”—have been emerging. In addition to these reruns, new offerings are also being crafted. Following a few kids-exclusive styles to have surfaced, Nike is treating its female audience to the upcoming “Platnium Violet” model.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the pair arrives in a black mesh base that’s complemented by jagged nubuck overlays in a muted greyish purple, dubbed “Platinum Violet.” This shade is also applied to the leather tongue and heel tab, further balancing out the black. Eyelets, embroidered Nike Swoosh logos, and midsole overlays are playfully colored in a teal “Blustery” hue. However, only the midsole overlay of the lateral side appears in Blustery; the lateral side uses an overlay in a candy pink shade that is also used on embroidery details on the tongue. For a final pop of color, Volt is used sparingly, only visible arond the side Swoosh’s perimeter, within the Air unit, and on the embroidered “AIR” logo on the heel. As the vivid tones contrast the subdued Platinum Violet, the design delivers a fun, colorblocked look that is still wearable.
The women’s-exclusive Air Structure Triax ’91 is available for purchase in Asia. North American Nike fans will be able to grab their own pairs at the retailers listed below for a retail price of $140 when they drop in the coming months.
