Up Close With The Air Jordan 5 “Oklahoma Sooners” PE

Late last month, the Oklahoma Sooners revealed their very own Air Jordan 5 PE, one that rivals UNC’s very similar design. And before we catch wind of another Jordan-sponsored school’s interpretation, @englishsole has offered up a detailed photoset of the bold red pair.

Though the Sooners equipment team surely did a great job with their own images, the gallery here showcases a few more subtle details. For example, the icy parts of the tread are detailed with OU insignia in bold red, matching the upper and its subtler details. Alongside, the pair includes a secondary set of white laces just in case the first happen to get dirty. Elsewhere, between neutral midsoles and netting, the upper features a full display of cement print whose dark black lines are overshadowed by the school colors behind.

Completed with OU embroideries, the Oklahoma Sooners PE is fully viewable below. If they ever happen to make it to the public, expect to find out here.

In other news, a Todd Snyder New Balance 992 is releasing this week.
