Photographer Devin Allen And Under Armour Celebrate Baltimore For Black History Month

As part of its Black History Month celebration, Under Armour has tapped award-winning photographer and Baltimorean, Devin Allen, to amplify and support youth voices in the Maryland destination.

Comprising of apparel and footwear, the UNDR ARMR x DVNLLN collection delivers covert iterations of the Curry 8, HOVR Pantom 2, Forge RC and Spawn 3. The minimalist color palette used for the collaborative project was intentional, as it allows the Baltimore community’s stories to shine more prominently.

“I wanted people from places like Baltimore, Oakland, Chicago, and Detroit to be proud of their cities,” said Allen. “[O]ur communities have so much to offer, so much to celebrate.”

In addition to the UNDR ARMR x DVNLLN products, the brand (which is headquartered in Baltimore) has continued its partnership with Wide Angle Youth Media to mentor and equip kids with cameras. As a local, Allen has experienced the power of photography first-hand, having had his work published on the cover of TIME magazine in May 2015. Furthermore, UA has vowed to assist Noisy Tenants, a community-focused production agency, with a youth-created mural near Oriole Park.

The performance-running and basketball sneakers under Allen’s creative vision will launch via UA.com beginning on February 5th.
