The Notre x Nike Dunk High Begins Its Rollout On January 21st

Initially teased via inaccurate mock-ups in May 2020, Notre’s Nike Dunk High duo has finally received an official release date: January 21st (Notre exclusive). The “Blue Void” pair will then launch via Nike SNKRS on January 23rd.

Although the silhouette in question has enjoyed newfound attention in public consciousness, its importance to Michael Jaworowski, Notre’s co-founder and CEO, has been long cemented. A red and silver pair he saw someone wearing at a hockey game while growing up in Grand Rapids, MI propelled him into the business of sneakers and streetwear. With every professional endeavor he’s embarked on since working at Grand Rapids’ Premier skate shop, Jaworowski has been committed to cultivating community.

While not a Nike SB proposition like that pair Jaworowski spotted in his youth, Notre’s forthcoming Dunk High duo embodies the boutique. A hardworking, midwestern attitude is referenced via the work shirt-inspired patches, high-quality suede and triple-stitch detailing. Furthermore, the clean execution nods to the store’s elevated aesthetic. Lastly, the linking hands – which have become a brand hallmark – allowed Notre to make Peter Moore’s 1985 design truly “ours” (the shop’s name translates to “our” in French).
