Now that the NBA 2020-2021 season is ramping up, reveals of Jordan PEs have started to rapidly appear one after the other. Between Carmelo Anthony and Jayson Tatum alone, there’s been quite the handful, each bearing an inspiration far more unique than anything to actually release. And now, following the Pelicans’ game yesterday, we’re catching detailed images of Zion Williamson‘s first Air Jordan 35: the New Orleans inspired “Home Team” colorway.
As its namesake would imply, the scheme is wholly influenced by New Orleans sports; but rather than highlight basketball, the pair opts for the signature colors of the Saints. The team’s logo even adorns the heel, something relatively out of the norm for a PE of this nature. Adjacent, the back tab arrives clad with gilded text, the left and right face spelling out “WHO DAT,” a commonly echoed chant for dedicated fans of the Saints. Elsewhere, the colorway is far more straightforward, with greys and blacks dressing the overlays and unders, respectively. Gold finishes mark atop in seldom, most notably the Jumpman embroidery along the tongue.
