Nike Explores The Plant World With The Blazer Mid “Indigo”

Nike Explores The Plant World With The Blazer Mid “Indigo”

Likely picked up in quarantine, Nike has begun showing a sudden interest in the world of botany, reflecting this in a few of their upcoming Blazer Mid releases. Following their pomegranate studies, the brand is soon to transition their lessons towards the indigo plant as it uses both its likeness and its product atop the beloved retro silhouette.

Similar to the aforementioned, the pair starts rather simple, leveraging the ubiquity of a clean white canvas. The Swoosh and heel tab, however, contrast in their dark blue dyes, one logically reminiscent of the indigo at the helm. Elsewhere, above the check, the plant itself is embroidery atop in a relatively realistic likeness, its stem and petals accompanied by a small “Fig 1.” text as if pulled from a textbook. And though not completely visible, it seems the heel includes further information like the subject’s scientific name.

Grab a detailed look at the Blazer Mid “Indigo” right here and expect to find at select retailers and Nike.com within the coming months.

In other news, the Green Supreme SB Dunk Low was just revealed.
