In a world pre-COVID, Nike stores around the world drove a large deal of sales for the entire brand, these numbers hit primarily due to their droves of talented Product Specialists — or, as they’re more accurately referred to, the “EKIN.” To celebrate each of these individuals, the Swoosh is crafting a very special Dunk Low, one that quite literally types the employees’ role atop the heel.
Though for the most part neutral, the colorway highlights its Swoosh as well as its back tab in a loud orange suede, the latter fixtures dressed further with “NIKE” embroidery on one foot and “EKIN” along the other. The tongue’s woven label as well as the small logo at the forefoot follows suit in tone, contrasting the whites of their respective mesh and leather backdrops. Atop, overlays of a light grey start a subtle gradient as the panels grow increasingly darker up to the counter.
