An homage in color as much as it is in construction, the Jordan 6 Rings often celebrates the past of its various parts with many an inspired release. In the past year, for example, the silhouette drew influence from the Air Jordan 11 as it hued in “Concord,” “University Blue,” and even the beloved “Cool Grey.” Now, the brand seems to be looking further back, highlighting the Air Jordan 8’s “Aqua” colorway with an as-close-as-possible homage.
This is most evident along the tooling as its upper and lower half are hued in the signature light blue and dark purple, respectively. Up top, in contrast, the upper is primarily dyed a dark black, while a little bit of grey hits the leather just along the heel. Straps, pulls, laces, and even the lining then round off in the aforementioned neutral, though its thankfully offset by the chenille logos tufted onto the tongue.
Grab a quick peek at these below and find them available now at select retailers and Nike.com surely soon.
