While adidas’s Ultra Boost has received much mainstream attention throughout recent years, the brand’s ZX line hasn’t quite matched up in publicity. But new collaborations have slowly brought the collection into the spotlight, prompting the Three Stripes to release new offerings of its ZX mainstays and newer variants. An instance is the upcoming ZX 2K Boost covered in metallics and reds.
Following a new collaboration with Ninja, the pair now flaunts gray textile uppers that are matched by TPU overlays of the same hue. Unexpectedly, rather than using the same gray for the stripes on the side, the stripes have a silver metallic finish for added dimension. This silvery effect is also seen on the often-white Boost midsole to create a futuristic look. For added pops of color, solar red stripe and zig-zag accents are found on the midsole’s semi-translucent cage, heel, and toe.
Enjoy official images below as you wait for the pair to be available at adidas.com on December 6.
