Following an impressive 30-piece collection by Ronnie Fieg, the ASICS GEL-Lyte III has emerged in a two-pair set inspired by Daruma dolls.
Clad in either “Classic Red/White/Black” or “Baltic Jewel/White/Black,” each proposition features the model’s iconic split tongue, designed by Shigeyuki Mitsui 30 years ago. Full-leather construction features it’s pair’s titular hue throughout the overlays, golden accents joining the mix across the forefoot, midfoot and heel. The sneaker’s namesake is given a shimmering finish on the lateral heel, nodding to the hollow figurine’s traditional ornamentation. Underfoot, midsoles indulge in a simple “White” makeup, while tread opts into a tried-and-proven “Black” scheme.
Enjoy another look at each GEL-Lyte III here below, and find the lucky charm-inspired set arriving to ASICS‘ overseas webstores on December 4th and in the US on 12/10.
