Nike Air Force 1 Low “82” Alternates “Bred” And “Royal” Looks

Nike Air Force 1 Low “82” Alternates “Bred” And “Royal” Looks

The full scope of NIKE, Inc.’s 2021 has yet to unfold, but the North American sportswear behemoth has already given enthusiasts much to anticipate. Among its plans, the Oregon-based company has prepped what’s ostensibly a nod between the original Nike Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1, as the former has recently emerged in an alternating “Black/University Red” and “Royal/Black” arrangement.

Embroidered with “’82” on the lateral heel, the forthcoming take on Bruce Kilgore’s design indulges in two inaugural color-blockings of Peter Moore’s famed 1985 silhouette. “Black” takes up the majority of the pair’s upper (with the midfoot panels and tongue boasting a knit-like construction), but toe boxes, heel panels, profile swooshes and “NIKE AIR” branding on the tongue don either “Royal” (right shoe) or “University Red” (left shoe) tones. (By contrast, a previously-seen Jordan 1 Mid dresses up predominantly in white and features two original Force’s red and blue palettes.) Underfoot, outsoles follow suit, while midsoles’ “AIR” detailing revels in their shoe’s respective titular hue.

No official release details have been disclosed yet, but this mismatched Air Force 1 is likely to launch on Nike SNKRS in February 2021 to coincide with NBA All-Star Weekend.
