Although Derrick Rose‘s name has been overshadowed by other players’ among adidas’ basketball roster, the Chicago-native still boasts one of the most popular signature hoops sneaker lines overseas. Therefore, it’s no surprise that he’s getting an 11th model, aptly named the D Rose 11.
On December 5th, five inaugural colorways will be available for $120 USD each. While none of them indulge in wild makeups, relying instead on predominantly two-tone ensembles featuring “Chalk Walk,” “Core Black” and “Scarlet” hues, most launch propositions nod to a theme near and dear to Rose. From bold “Brenda” takes to understated “Sweet Home Chicago” iterations, forthcoming arrangements have drawn inspiration from Rose’s mother, hometown city and other significant parts of the 32-year-old’s life. Textile uppers and Lightstrike midsoles deliver a new, but familiar design to adidas D Rose options of the past. As has been the case with Damian Lillard and James Harden’s sneaker lines, it’s possible high-profile collaborations are in store for the D Rose 11.
