The Nike Air Max 90 Adds Subtle Safari Animal Prints

The Nike Air Max 90 Adds Subtle Safari Animal Prints

Nike’s famed Safari print has graced some of the brand’s most popular silhouettes, including the notable atmos Air Max 1. Its dotted texture has often been paired with equally bold colors to create statement-making styles. This time, Nike delivers an Air Max 90 that dares to go about a tame approach towards the safari texture and animal prints.

Rather than conspicuous color-blocking, the uppers opt for an all-black aesthetic. However, the uppers are anything but plain as they sport mesh, leather, plastic, and nubuck constructions. The signature safari print is seen on the Swoosh and vamp overlays in a matching black to keep things tame. Aside from the white midsoles and branding, the only other element that shakes up the wholly black color scheme is the cheetah print used for the suede tongue tags – a detail that kicks the model up a notch while staying true to the safari theme.
