Michael Le Ever since the Air Max 90 reverted back to its original likeness, we’ve seen a large roster of releases both new and familiar. But here, Nike has landed somewhere in the middle as they’re using well-loved earth-toned palettes and their typical toolbox of materials for this caramel-esque colorway.
Though possibly inspired by natural leathers, the upper layers atop panels of different shading. Mudguards deceptively appear with patina, darkened to the point of seeming aged in comparison to the lighter panels that dress underneath. Elsewhere, the Swoosh is stitched atop in a bright tan, its arc blending into the matching mesh at the collar whose fabrication is used once again at the toe box. Matching accents — laces, tongues, heel tabs, etc. — then finish adjacent, while branded tabs, “NIKE AIR” emblems, and treads finish in complement to the opposite end of the tonal spectrum.
