Nike’s nod to banned NBA accessories has gradually taken further shape along the Air Force 1, the silhouette the designated home to the patchwork design and basketball-centered insignia. And after a few loudly covered pairs, the silhouette is adding monochrome to its toolbox as the entirety of the heel counter is constructed of leather panels hued both black and light grey. The latter, which stands somewhat more apart thanks to its NBA badge, sits underneath a glossy heel tab whose “Nike Air” is plastered over with a layer of synthetic film. Gum bottoms then accent below while the rest of the construction — toe caps, mid-panels, lace units, etc — expands in neutral white complete with upside-down logo hits, a bolted leather overlay on the swoosh, and pronounced tongue tabs. Grab a detailed look at these here and expect a release to arrive at Nike.com likely within the coming months.
In other news, the Nike Dunk High Inverse Celtics only partially brings back OG colors.’
