While the 2020 NBA draft date has still yet to be set in stone, one aspect that’s certain is that rising star LaMelo Ball will be a member of this year’s class. Judging off the various mock drafts currently floating around the web, the youngest Ball sibling is projected to fall somewhere within the top three overall picks. Usually when you’re one of the more prized hoops prospects, this naturally comes with the question of which sneaker brand will have the honors of landing you. As of today, we have our answer. According to senior NBA Insider/Writer Shams Charania, the nifty point guard will be joining the Puma family, making him the first Ball brother to ink a sneaker endorsement deal outside of Big Baller Brand.
This move on Puma’s behalf only solidifies their ambitions of bringing in young talent as they currently have players such as Kyle Kuzma, Deandre Ayton, RJ Barrett, Terry Rozier, and others on their roster. Moreover, when Ball finally hits the floor in his professional threads next season, you can likely expect him to lace up the Puma Clyde Hardwoods and J-Cole’s Puma Dreamer.
