Reebok Is Restocking Their Triple White And Triple Black Premier Road Modern

Kanghyuk, as part of their most recent collaboration with Reebok, helped spearhead the return of the footwear brand’s “Premier Running” collection, a once defunct line-up that is now effectively starting over just in time for the Fall 2020 season. And thanks to its very well-received reception — something a 1 minute sellout time is indicative of — the Premier Road Modern is poised to make a larger revival with four colorways.

Split down the middle in terms of aesthetic, two of the total four paint an entirely achromatic and heavily versatile picture. One, made triple black, cuts extremely close to what Kanghyuk achieved months back. Everything from the rubber overlays to the mesh along the underlayer is near identical in both its finish and shade — only the South Korean label’s branding is left out from the heel counter. Then, as a direct opposite, a Triple White is readied to arrive, dressing all the same accents with much clearer distinction. Grey see-through veils add better contrast along the middling panels while laces deliver a subtle stripe pattern to further set itself apart from its tonal complement.

In heavy, heavy departure, the other two prefer to imbue louder color unto the model’s layered construction. A Marathon Red and Marathon Blue deliver a blocking similar to one another, though their usage of the same tones differs dramatically. One sprawls its toe box in cool tones, complementing it immediately with cream along the heel counter and subtler inclusions of both a saturated green and a loud yellow; the other, which finishes its tooling with aqua half way, then adds darker hits of black across the entire upper with bits and pieces of burgundy, mustard yellow, and cream scattered about the various synthetics.
