Nike SB, while popular to the masses for its releases with Travis Scott and Ben & Jerry’s, owes credit to the plethora of skate shops and retailers whose collaborations helped establish a star-studded archive. And though not too long since their Dunk High, Berlin’s Civilist is the next up to be re-celebrated — the imprint and its friends providing a small glimpse of what looks to be an understated Dunk Low. A striking departure from the leaks revealed months ago, the tease gives way to the design’s simple approach. With everything hued achromatic — the Swoosh, leather paneling, and the like — there’s little to see save for the “CIVLIST” branded patch along the side as well as the lightly threaded “Nike” embroidery at the heel. For now take a quick peek at what’s upcoming here and sit tight for more images and official release info.
In other news, the Nike Dunk Low Samba is hitting Nike SNKRS on August 20th.
UPDATE (8/11/2020)
The Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low, while simple along its exterior, bears a thermochromic finish that changes to a heatmap pattern once exposed to certain temperatures.
