The Nike SB Dunk Low Arrives Covered In Heat Map Graphics

Nike SB, with their flagship Dunk Low in hand, has always been playfully expressive, opting to wow in color and inspiration than cater to the mass audience. And after further teases of a likely recycled take as well as the returning Ugly Duckling Pack, the brand is letting reveal a loud, heat map covered colorway — one that ostensibly references the famed Weatherman pack that dressed the Foamposite and Air Force 1 prior.

The upper here, by comparison, is relatively bereft of the forecasting aspect as the panels simply rely on the look of visualized data. Greens and blues are spread out more evenly, crossing the ankle flap, heel, and toe, while dark reds are accented at certain points seemingly at random; this, though possibly an intentional choice in treatment, could hint at a heat sensitive film that adjusts where touched or exposed to certain temperatures. Elsewhere, the tooling is fittingly ordinary, bearing black midsoles and black tread, but the swoosh’s tab only meters above hints at a possible collaborator or maybe an on-theme bit of text.

Grab a quick look at these right here and sit tight for more info and photos.

In other news, an entire Human Made adidas capsule is releasing August 6th.
