While mostly known for the magic he works on the basketball court, Paul George, once off the floor, often indulges in one of his favorite outdoor activities: fishing. This past April, George and his Nike camp deciding to have a little fun with his signature PG 4 by reimagining it with outdoor-inspired DNA designed through the lens of Beaverton’s ACG sub-label. And after officially kick starting what we know as the “PCG” series, it appears as though a follow up colorway will making its way to the shelves shortly.
Trading out the muddy brown midsoles and bright red accents for a motif cleaner and cooler, this latest take is outfitted with a translucent ripstop upper paired up with angelic Swooshes. The essence of its “ACG” aura however, is credited through its teal trim that rests prominently down the throat, interior medial wall, and forefoot panel, followed by tinier hits across the heels emblems. Given the nature of the PG 4’s medial mesh ventilations, this interpretation works perfectly as it almost channels the look of a vintage fisherman’s vest, only morphed for your feet. Check out a detailed look here below, and expect these to drop on Nike.com and through select retailers on September 4th for $110.
For other news, the Satin Snakeskin Jordan 1s are dropping in full family sizes next month.
