PLEASURES Dresses Up The Reebok Beatnik With Spider Web Embroidery

PLEASURES Dresses Up The Reebok Beatnik With Spider Web Embroidery

Broken in by Japanese labels Needles and BEAMS after the model’s revival in 2018, the Reebok Beatnik quickly became a cult classic among a select audience. Since then, the slipper has arrived in both a set of GRs and is soon to see its very first collaboration with longtime collaborator PLEASURES.

Certainly not for the faint of heart or the arachnophobic, the streetwear imprint’s interpretation turns tangible one of co-founder Alex James’ ideas: “When the web is destroyed, a new one is created. The cycle is never ending.” Suede constructions run replete with black dye, matted to better suit PLEASURES’ usual aesthetic. Their stamp — with jagged text and all — sits at the helm along the silhouette’s strap, embroidered in fashion similar to the spider motif placed atop the heel and the much fuller web that dresses the forefoot in white thread.

Shipped with a branded cinch bag as well as a spider keychain, the pair will be up for grabs on Pleasuresnow.com come July 30th and Reebok.com just one day after on July 31st.

In other news, the adidas ZX 2K BOOST is returning.
