The Nike umbrella is no stranger to flirtations — Jordan Brand often borrowing from mainline tech or even going as far to collaborate with Nike SB‘s side of the camp. And now, it seems basketball and skateboarding are becoming further intertwined as the aforementioned’s Sashiko Pack expands with the newly introduced Kyrie S2 Hybrid. But aside from new branding, the pair seems to leave most of its construction as is, ostensibly outfitting with hoops in mind; its aesthetic, however, is wholly inspired by the growing collection’s themes as the traditional Japanese techniques take form along the midfoot strap and both the lateral and medial Swooshes. These stitches, which contrast against panels of lightly faded indigo, swap between patterned lines, multiple crosses, and circular motifs, finishing loud relative to the rest of the upper’s light cream shading. Grab a close-up look at these right here and expect a release to arrive hopefully soon at Nike.com.
