One of Nike’s 2020 proposals to the lifestyle market — the Air Max 2090 — has shown out in an expansive array of colorways both under the in-line umbrella, as well through special projects such as its Neymar collaborations and BeTrue initiative. Aside from its “Duck Camo” pair that dropped back in March, the silhouette has been negligent of relying on heritage-inspired palettes to dress up its offerings, but that looks to change with its latest take.
Dependent on the OG Air Max 95 “Neon” for influence, this newest iteration comes packaged with grey uppers that deviate slightly in shading between its mudguards and film-like layers, with accents of neon green placed atop the exposed stitchings, tongue branding, and “air” text graphics placed towards the rear. Molds which feature lipped-out ridge textures along the midsole and heels complement by way of jet black finishes to complete its classic-yet-mean theme.
