Nike’s classic Blazer Mid has shown no fear in employing an array of different decorations lately as some of its most recent updates have been outfitted with that of thermal iridescent Swooshes, gold-plated medallions, and oversized Sportswear logos in reversed fashion. Keeping this experimental-mentality alive, the Swoosh silhouette is looking to do more of the same for its upcoming installment, this time under the design direction of the SB label for the upcoming Sashiko pack.
Swooshes and forefoot overlays/heel panels immediately stand out as they have been reformatted with denim patchwork fabrications, the former of which is covered with contrasting stitches that zig-zag across its entirety, while the latter deviates with cross-like embroidery scattered in an all-over manner. The rest of the upper half, save for its chambray-colored tongue tab, is hued entirely with “Sesame” exteriors differentiating solely in materials as a most of the real estate is structured with canvas, and the throat/toe boxes in suede. It’s quite possible that the Nike SB team turned to the highly popular Travis Scott Dunks to inspire this rendition as they carry similar DNA both in palette and patchwork.
