Rather than solely profit on the original Air Jordan ecosystem, the brand has preferred to experiment with categories seemingly outside of their expertise. As such, runners of all shapes and sizes have arrived en-masse for the better part of the past few years, and with new technologies coming out from the inline Nike innovation team, we’re set to see a number of unique Jumpman-clad silhouettes. Among such a generation, the Air Zoom Renegade is one of the first to feature the Air Zoom Pod and plate pairing, using it across a tooling somewhat reminiscent of the Vaporfly in bulk. Infrared tones infuse heritage in seldom, dressing the profile graphic whose paint starts at the midsole and finishes in the form of perforated overlays atop the upper. Elsewhere, the toe box’s see-through synthetic is detailed with ornate, lace-like line work that masks an underlying layer of color; behind, the heel counter prefers to contrast by way of black gloss sublimated above with an illusory arrangement of cubes. Grab a detailed look at the pair right here and expect this and more colorways to arrive at Nike.com very soon.
In other news, the Royal Jordan 3 drops this week.
