Fresh of the unveiling of its colorful collaboration with KENZO, Vans has taken a similar approach to a Slip-On and Old Skool. Instead of flowers, however, the 106-year-old Mexican card game Lotería serves as the “Off The Wall” brand’s latest muse.
The brand’s pastel-colored “Los Vans” graphics take over both pairs’ sturdy canvas uppers, though it’s featured more prominently on the Slip-On. Notable characters of the “Lottery” game – “El Alacran,” “La Rosa,” and “La Calavera” – are reinterpreted for 2020 and joined by Vans‘ own playful “Los Waffles,” “Los Munchies,” and “El Checkerboard” inclusions. Unlike its laceless counterpart, the Old Skool contrasts its soft-colored print with black suede across the toe, lace guards, and heel. Sole units on both classic silhouettes forgo any of the uppers’ nods to Lotería in favor of their signature white midsole, brown waffle outsole, and red license plate combination.
Enjoy a closer look at this colorful Slip-On and Old Skool duo below, and head over to Vans.com right now to secure your pair for $60 USD and $65 USD, respectively.
