Storytelling has always been a big part of Nike’s All-Star Weekend releases, and while they tapped the creativity of Chicago locals this year, the next seems to be more attuned to basketball history. From the Dunk High to the Air Jordan 1 Mid and Low, the brand is tapping into some of their earliest silhouettes, giving all a monochromatic makeover replete of black and white neutrals.
But though identical in theme, each opts for a different approach. Stamped with the same NBA logo hit at the heel, the Dunk hues to a two-toned arrangement with lighter shades along the leather unders. Overlaid, a glossy patent covers from toe cap to heel with the swoosh following suit. The Air Jordan 1 is relatively similar, but it’s likely to employ some more intricate pinstripe textures along both the ankle flaps and counter. Low-tops then seem to use the same pattern at the swoosh despite a backdrop composed near entirely of black.
Grab a detailed look at the pack right here, and though they’re rumored to release in February, it’s possible that the All-Star games will be postponed heavily.
In other news, the Off-White Air Jordan 4 drops July.
