Nike LeBron 9 Low “Liverpool” Returning In Late 2020

Nike LeBron 9 Low “Liverpool” Returning In Late 2020

The Nike LeBron Retro movement has officially moved into the Miami Heat era of the star’s signature shoes. We recently learned that the LeBron 8 would see a first-ever return, with the silhouette coming in early 2021 with what appears to be a straightforward Lakers colorway. Possibly preceding that drop is the LeBron 9 Low “Liverpool” that first dropped in the Summer of 2012. Commemorating the King’s expanding business portfolio and his investment in Fenway Sports Group (which had just purchased The Reds), this low-top LeBron made use of the club’s red and teal, with sample iterations of the shoe featuring the liver bird emblem on the heel (the retail version would feature the LeBron crown logo).

The Nike LeBron 9 was an immensely popular silhouette despite the mid-top model ditching the full-length Air. The Low returned to the full-length Max Air before making way for the new Zoom bag that debuted with the LeBron 10. Such an unexpected selection, don’t you think? Is it time for a LeBron 9 retro yet, or would you rather see another model get more shine?
